Last December 11, 2015 was the Food Festival 2015 this was once of the most awaited events of culinary students of Joji Ilagan International School of Hotel and Tourism Management of General Santos City with the theme” NEON PARTY”.
The School has excellent culinary courses and ready to compete with local and international proficiencies. Joji Ilagan International School of Hotel and Tourism Management is the premier culinary and hospitality school in Southern Mindanao. It is the leading school for career pathways for people for all ages that consistently offer exclusive and relevant educational programs aimed at ensuring lifelong skills and professional success.
Food Festival showcased student’s products and talent in cooking and entrepreneurial skills. This event helped the student to be aware about the global competition world where they have chosen.
Chef Michael Cafferey stressed an inspirational talk and welcomed all guest and visitors to enjoy the event and be part of this memorable activity of the students. According to him, this experience will cater the development of student’s capacity to handle realistic situation in the future.
What a joyful evening!! Students were busy cooking and at the same time excited. The school was open for everybody to taste the enticing specialties of students. And if they like it they’re free to buy. Entrepreneurship was in the big sense.
Every creative mind with this marvelous creation showcased in every booth of Culinary, HRM, Tourism and Entrepreneur students came to boast this night with their creation. The theme of the event with rock songs as the background music gave flavor to the night full of excitement, laughter and full stomach. In the middle of the event students, teachers and guests were excited to products. In this abundant night, prepared stomach and heavy pockets were required to feel the abundance of this event. The smell and face of the food was more tempting, therefore it’s not worth resisting.
The Food Festival became more meaningful when the announcement of winners revealed. The overall champion is the 1st year culinary students from the booth #WTF (Wow Tasty Food). The leader of the group and the Miss Entrepreneur of the night Jara Abaño said despite of hardship and challenges they encountered because of this event it was all worthy.
The students who participated in the Food Fest felt satisfied and survived at the end of the said event. This notable involvement of the students will be treasured forever in their hearts.
